The Police Department works alongside the residents of North Plains to reduce crime, or the fear of crime. Our current staff consists of two full time officers and a number of reserve officers and cadets. We pride ourselves in providing quality public service.
While we do not yet employ enough full time police officers to provide 24
hour
coverage to the City, we have reached an agreement with our neighboring
agencies to provide coverage in the City for any priority calls. If you require
emergency response, please call 911. If the nature of your call is more routine,
please call the non-emergency dispatch number of 503-629-0111.
Please take a moment to visit the Police Department links that are on the
menu
bar to the left. You will find basic information about the department and
the
various programs found within the City. Feel free to explore and learn more
about
your Police Department.
We ask for timely feedback about our performance in the services that we
provide to our citizens. Comments can be made by phone,
email, or by the most preferred method of in person at City Hall.
