North Plains "the City to the Sunset" is  community with a population of 1,900 located approximately 15 miles west or Portland Oregon. 

Our community enjoys a high quality of life, that includes excellent schools and service organizations committed to making a stronger community, including the Womens' Gathering, Knights of Pythias, and Garden Club. 

The City has existed for almost 100 years, with formal incorporation occurring in 1963.  Residents enjoy the benefits of well managed infrastructure of improved streets, parks, and water systems.  Wastewater systems are provided by the regional Clean Water Services agency. 

A professional staff of 13 assists Council and residents with budgeting, police services, planning, building, utility billing, and public works maintenance.
