Elephant Garlic Festival
North Plains is probably most well known for its Garlic Festival, held each year in early August. This festival grew out of North Plains Day's, and first took on the "Elephant Garlic" theme. Now, besides providing fun for the town's citizens, the event draws thousands to our small town to sample all sorts of garlic treats, including garlic ice cream! The festival also features games, music, and craft vendors. For more information about previous Garlic Festivals and schedule for this year's upcoming festival, check out the Garlic Festival page on the Chamber of Commerce web site. The Eleventh Annual Elephant Garlic Festival is scheduled for August 7, 8, and 9, 2009.
