Meeting Schedule:
Council meets are on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, at 7:00pm in the Jessie Mays Community Hall. 

Citizens are welcome to make a public comment at City Council meetings.  There are sign-up sheets set out prior to each meeting on the table just inside the entrance of the Jessie Mays Community Hall.  Please come to the meeting a few minutes early and add your name to the sheet when you walk in.

Meeting Agendas:
City Council meeting agendas are posted the Friday before each meeting at:

• North Plains Post Office
• North Plains Public Library
• North Plains Market on Commercial Street, and
• City Hall (on the bulletin board outside)

Agendas are also posted on the City website.

Agenda packets can be purchased at a cost of $0.25 cents per page.

The City of North Plains operates under the council-manager form of city government.  The Mayor and the City Councilors are elected by the citizens and they develop the policies that will direct the operation of the city.  The Mayor and Council hire the City Manager to implement their policy direction and manage the operations of the city.  The City Charter provides the authority under which the City operates and outlines the roles of the Mayor, Council, and City Manager.
