North Plains welcomes all businesses.

While retaining our small town feel, North Plains is ready to partner with start ups and established businesses to create jobs and provide services to our residents.  Weather you are starting a one-person shop or locating a large manufacturing facility, the City of North Plains wants to help you be successful.

Commercial development in North Plains is concentrated in the downtown area known as Commercial Street and the highway commercial area off the Glencoe Road exit of Highway 26.

North Plains’ has a large industrial area on its east side that is close in proximity to Highway 26, features flat land and few residential neighbors, and provides a utility infrastructure that can meet manufacturing demands. The City of North Plains partners with leaders of the business community and all levels of government, including Business Oregon, Columbia-Pacific Economic Development District (Col-Pac),, and North Plains Chamber of Commerce. Together, we will work cooperatively to assist with corporate relocations, expansions and start-up operations.
