The staff of the City of North Plains Police Department welcomes you to our web site. The information presented on these pages offers to you a glimpse of the values that we wish to impart upon our community. As police officers in this City we are presented the unique opportunity to solve root problems of crime, and the fear of crime. By serving as problem solvers we help establish and maintain a desirable quality of life in this special community. Our roles include making arrests as well as working to change the proximate factors that enable crime. We recognize that citizens must understand and practice their role in keeping our community safe. Police officers and citizens are part of one continuum and share in a common set of duties that establish community safety and livability. Yet we, as police officers, accept responsibility for crime levels in our City and strive to achieve our communities public safety goals. Many challenges will be offered to our department in the next few years. We value the need for effective use of the resources provided to us by our residents, and practice fiscal responsibility and accountability even in these times of shrinking revenue. Additional growth will place the demand of additional services upon our department. We know that by providing exceptional police services, our professionalism encourages growth that is desirable and advantageous to the citizens of our community. I encourage everyone in the community to provide me feedback on how well we are serving you. I can be reached through the phone, email and in person. On behalf of the entire staff, please accept our gratitude for your support both present and future.
