4. Appearance of Interested Citizens
One interested citizen appeared midway for library hours discussion.

5. Goal Setting session

• Library Levy: After much discussion regarding Levy procedures, Hirst moved that the board have a 5 year operating levy on the May 2004 ballot. If the board does not pursue this in 2004, the next opportunity would be 2006. Lantz seconded the motion. The City Council will be asked in Fall 2003 how to plan for the levy being a 97133 voting district, to include surrounding areas. A Political Action Committee (PAC) will be formed in Feb-Mar of 2004.
  
• Grantwriting: Peterson is writing the Metropolitan Area Communications Commission (MACC) PCN grant for 2003-04. Other grants will be selected through research and hope to supplement the library revenues.
  
• Fundraising: TBA

6. Library Hours brainstorming
It has been difficult to find enough volunteers to fill the 20 hours/week that the library is open. After much discussion over the check-out statistics, hours were decreased as such:
Monday and Wednesday 10am-12pm, 2-5pm
Saturday 11am - 2pm
