The seven-member Library Board is appointed by City Council and is advisory to the Library Director and to City Council.  Four members reside within the city limits of North Plains, and three members represent the service area population outside the city limits. Each member serves a four-year term and is eligible for reappointment for an addition four years. Library Board responsibilities include developing policies, reviewing proposed budgets, developing goals for the library, and advocating for the library within the community.

The Library Board meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 6 pm.
