The largest of North Plains' parks, Jesse Mays Community Park was remodeled and improved in 2022 to make it even better for recreation and community events! This park is a hub of community activities from celebrations and concerts to tennis, pickleball, basketball, and baseball. It is the site of the community's largest annual event - the Elephant Garlic Festival - as well as various other community events from the Chili Cook-off, to a volunteer recognition night. A new playground invites kids of all ages to play and there is now an outdoor covered pavilion available to rent for outdoor celebrations. The Community Hall is used for indoor private and public events, including City Council meetings. The park has outdoor restrooms which lock overnight.
