Due to the park's location within the floodplain that has been rising in recent years, it has been a challenge to make it usable and our goal is to make it a year-round green space available for all residents. Through years of flooding, the play equipment had become weak and the park had been unuseable for many months of the year. City crews have removed the playground equipment and filled in the soaked, sunken grade. We will look for opportunities for future park improvements that are possible given the challenging site.
