West Union Pedestrian Path

This new pedestrian pathway opened in fall 2021 and runs adjacent to the south side of West Union Road between Glencoe Road and the Sunset Ridge development. It is an important part of the City’s Parks Master Plan to develop a network of shared-use pedestrian and bicycle trails to enable connectivity between parks, neighborhoods, schools, and public amenities. The plan was guided with input and direction from city residents and the Parks and Recreation Board.

The West Union Pedestrian Path includes a bridge over McKay Creek, boardwalk, 5 - 8' wide asphalt, embankment work, and path lighting.

This project was funded in part by the North Plains local fuel tax.
