A project is underway to construct sidewalks on both the north and south sides of Commercial Street between Main Street and Glencoe Road, mostly infilling missing sidewalks. Permits and bid documents were finalized in fall 2023 and City Council approved a contract award to Subcom Excavation & Utilities at the December 4, 2023, City Council meeting. Construction began in February 2024. 

This project relates to the City Council's goal of Improving and Expanding City Facilities and is part of the City's Capital Improvement Program.
