A project is underway to construct sidewalks from the NW Corner of
Glencoe Road/Commercial Street to the railroad crossing, and the Hillcrest Street intersection towards the existing sidewalk just south of North Avenue. Permits and bid documents were finalized in fall 2023 and City Council approved a contract award to
Subcom Excavation & Utilities at the December 4, 2023, City Council meeting. Construction began in February 2024.
This project relates to the City Council's goal of
Improving and Expanding City Facilities and is part of the City's Capital Improvement Program.
