The City of North Plains is hiring for a seasonal employee in Public Works. The purpose of this position is for summer help for the Public Works Department in Parks and Building Maintenance.

Pay is $13.00-$15.00 DOE

General requirements are:

  • Ability to safely operate a department-issued vehicle (acceptable driving record).
  • Ability to safely operate various equipment (weed eaters, push mowers).
  • Ability to safely use various hand tools (rakes, shovels, hand clippers).
  • Ability to follow directions (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to walk/work on uneven, rough terrain, kneel and bend.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Work in adverse weather conditions.
This position is limited to a duration of typically 3 months in length, 32-40 hours/week with a mutually agreed-upon schedule.
